The .22 Long Rifle (.22 LR) is going to be your most versatile, most plentiful, and least

 expensive round you can get. There are both handguns and rifles you can get that shoot .22, 

it is capable of stopping a man if well placed, and it is excellent for small game and training.

 You can get a pack of 500 .22 cartridges for about $20 in most gun stores or Wal-Marts.

The next most plentiful cartridge is going to be 9 millimeter. Because it is the most common

 pistol caliber for the police and military there is a lot of it floating around out there. I don't

 personally own a 9 millimeter handgun, but if I were currently in the market for a handgun

 I would probably be going with that, simply due to how much there is available and how cheap

 it is in comparison to other pistol calibers out there (Such as .45 and .38).

Uncle Henry,
I have a grease pitcher in my cabinet that has had bacon grease in it for years.I use it frequently

and the whole family is still alive.I have a coffee can at my camp with bacon grease in it and 

again no confirmed illness or deaths related to bacon grease
