Mobile Server Fired Over Social Media Remarks

WKRG.com is reporting that a server at Montego's in Mobile has been fired after they posted a racist remark about one of their customers.

WKRG contacted the customers and got their remarks:

“Dinner was great! Dinner was fine, she come up, she took our drinks, she took our food order. She came back, she delivered our food and that was basically it,” says one of the women.

After they left the woman started receiving messages about the post.

The report continues:

“I was angry because it’s a racial thing and I felt like my name was being slandered. We did leave a tip. We left a cash tip so it really outraged me to actually experience racism one-on-one because I’ve never actually experienced racism one-on-one,” says another customer.

The  women admit they're not sure if someone took their cash tip. They called Montego's corporate office and filed a complaint against the Mobile server.

The customer claims Montego's took the appropriate actions by firing the server. They also sent multiple apology emails to the customers.  It is unfortunate they’re having to deal with this type of situation.
